Ramki has, over the years, assisted leading business groups & corporates in raising capital from Indian & overseas capital markets and from private equity investors. He has advised on and consummated significant number of M&A transactions, both domestic & cross border. He has considerable understanding of investment philosophy & expectations of both domestic and international private and public market institutional investors. As an investment banker he has closely observed & analyzed and actively participated in India’s economic and capital market cycles since liberalization of 1991.

Prior to Spark Capital, Ramki headed ICICI Securities’ investment banking business for south India, before which he had stints at Arthur Andersen, Ind Global Financial Trust and Deloitte. He is extensively networked in the capital market ecosystem and enjoys deep-rooted relationships with the corporate sector in southern India. He is a regular speaker on topics relating to investment banking in corporate and finance forums and is quoted actively in the financial media.

He has a bachelors’ degree in mechanical engineering and a masters’ degree in business administration.
