Universal Legal has 40 lawyers across India and does a variety of legal work, most specifically in the corporate area that includes managing incoming and outgoing foreign direct investment, cross border corporate structuring, mergers and acquisitions(M&As) apart from routine legal matters. In the four years of its operations, the firm has completed M&As worth more than hundred million dollars and represents many prestigious companies across many industries in India and abroad.

Ms. Sivanandh focused on commercial/corporate law as her core area in 2001 at Tulane Law School, New Orleans, USA and attained a Masters degree with distinction. She brings to the firm rich cross border experience having worked on both sides of the globe.

Ms. Sivanandh has also forged ties with many non profits and dedicates a vast part of the resources of the firm to service pro bono requirements. The Association for Corporate Counsel of India- Chennai, (ACCI) started by her in 2007 is a group that seeks to bring together corporate counsel across Chennai to meet share and exchange information on legal issues. ACCI is now is a host platform for legal counsel of more than fifty companies in Chennai.
